The Bottom Feeder Motorsports team’s season has come to a close with Crushstation on top! After a grueling summer, the team was intent on putting the "Monstah Lobstah" through it’s paces in Shediac, New Brunswick at the Centre For Speed. With names like Black Stallion and Bounty Hunter, the team was ready for a challenge and knew they’d have to be on their game to win.

Beginning in the wheelie contest, Greg vaulted Crushstation vertical on the car stack, then immediately after, launched Crushstation into an awesome slow motion slap wheelie! To the fans approval, Greg was crowned the winner of the 2011 Atlantic Monster Nationals wheelie contest.

Next up was racing as the trucks would compete on a tough J-course while finishing over a van stack! In the first round, Greg took out good friend Jimmy Tracey in the Higher Education Cool Bus and would move onto the finals against Mike Vaters’ Black Stallion. In the final turn it was neck and neck, but it would be Black Stallion squeaking out the win with the Crushstation team finishing a respectable 2nd.

Finally, freestyle was next. Greg gave the New Brunswick fans a show with launches off the van stacks, wheelies on the cars, and a smoky donut on the front stretch! A big thanks goes out to Tim Wile and his staff at the Centre for Speed for their hospitality and for putting on a great show!

This past weekend, the Crushstation team displayed at the McLaughlin’s Seafood Takeout location in Bangor on Friday, The University of Maine on Saturday, and made the overnight trip to Staten Island, New York to participate in the Staten Island Bikers For Babies event at the Staten Island Mall on Sunday! The team had a blast and want to thank the McLaughlin family, McLaughlin’s Seafood staff, EJ Roach and the University of Maine staff, and Anthony Gerardi and Bikers for Babies staff for their over-the-top hospitality! We couldn’t have ended the year better and look forward to the opportunity to be back with the Monstah Lobstah!

There’s no rest for the wicked for the Bottom Feeder Motor Sports team as the off season rolls around. The team has big things in store for 2012 and can’t wait to release their schedule for the winter season! In addition, it’s been confirmed that Hot Wheels will release a mini-version of the Crushstation trucks in their Monster Jam toy line in February 2012! Furthermore, the team is making adjustments to the truck, including the construction and installation of Billet Knuckles on the rear of the truck for strength when Greg does his patented Lobstah Tail wheelies!

Stay tuned to Crushstation4x4.com for updates from the shop! Thanks to all the promoters, fans, and friends who have made our 2011 race season so memorable and we look forward to seeing you in 2012!

With a rough stretch in their near past, the Bottom Feeder Motorsports team was on a mission to dial the truck in. In front of a big crowd at the Barnstable Fair in East Falmouth, Massachusetts, the Crushstation truck would dominate the nights freestyle competition against hard charging trucks Thrasher and Storm Damage! Much to the delight of the Cape Cod fans, Greg launched the Crushstation truck through the air and proved lobsters can fly! A huge thanks goes out to JM Productions for having our team at their event!

Upon arrival at the shop, the team shined up the Crushtation truck and displayed close to home, first in Richmond, Maine at the Richmond Karting Speedway. Fans and racers alike got the chance to lay eyes and hands on the truck and were in awe all day. To end the day, Greg took the Monstah Lobstah to the infield and ripped off some sick donuts much to the roar of the crowd! A big thanks to Roger Collins and staff at the Richmond Karting Speedway for having our team on display!

From Richmond, the team headed south to Buxton's Reynolds Motorsports for the Maine Star Riders Motorcycle Club’s Lob-Star Bake! In front of hundreds of bikes, the Crushtation truck sat on the highway, guiding customers in off the highway to check out the Monstah Lobstah! Thanks to the Reynolds Motorsports staff and Joyce Prior Thompson and the Yamaha Star Riders Club for their hospitality!

With only a few more weeks left in our 2011 season, the Crushstation team will be at the shop prepping the truck to ensure we end the year on a high note! Stay tuned to Crushstation4x4.com for updates from our last few shows of the year!

After having only a few days to fix the motor, the team worked long hours to ensure the truck was ready for its next appearance. After a successful display at Rockland Ford in Rockland, Maine, the team made the short trip to Canaan, New Hampshire for a freestyle exhibition with their good friend Pat Summa in the Thrasher Monster Truck. The New Hampshire fans were treated to an impressive show as the Monstah Lobstah dominated Friday night’s exhibition with huge air and sick momentum. Saturday’s showing was short but sweet, as Greg’s first hit of the night shot the truck near vertical. Unfortunately, the end result was a broken transmission and torque converter. Despite the breakage, the Canaan Fair Speedway staff and fans were elated with the team.

The Bottom Feeder Motorsports team is back at Monstah Lobstah HQ and will make repairs before heading to the Barnstable Fair in East Falmouth, MA! Stay tuned to Crushstation4x4.com for updates regarding the Cape Cod show and check out the online store for our new T-shirts!

After a long haul home to Maine from Crushstation's Midwest adventure, the team regrouped and prepared for their hometown show in Bangor, Maine for Monster Jam. Going into the weekend, Greg knew the competition would be stiff and the pressure was on as family and friends made the short trip to see the hometown hero in competition.

Friday night’s show proved Greg and the Crushstation truck were a force to be reckoned with! Against legendary names like Grave Digger and rookie superstar Son-Uva-Digger, Greg piloted the Monstah Lobstah to the freestyle victory on Friday night! There was no rest for the "wicked" as Saturday presented 2 shows to the Maine fans.

After a strong showing in the afternoon show, Greg started the evening show with a bang, vaulting the truck vertical and into the wheelie contest win! Proving it was no fluke, Greg again dominated freestyle with incredible slap wheelies and huge vertical wheelies on the car stacks for his second freestyle victory of the weekend. To finish the weekend, Greg launched Crushstation past vertical on two attempts in Sunday’s wheelie contest, ultimately winning 1st place, but ripping off the right rear knuckle in the process.

The team headed back to the shop to apply finishing touches on the truck before venturing north to Halifax, Nova Scotia. After a strong showing in wheelie contest, Crushstation was paired in the semi-finals of racing against Ryan Anderson in Son-Uva-Digger. As the green flag dropped, both trucks launched hard and over the first set of cars. Immediately after landing, it was evident something was right with Crushstation. After being towed to the pits, it was discovered the crank shaft was broken, ultimately ending the weekend for the Bottom Feeder Motorsports team. After hanging around helping the other teams in competition for the rest of the weekend, the team headed south to the shop to regroup.

The team will be thrashing hard to get the engine back together and the truck readied for a big display coming up at Rockland Ford in Rockland, Maine. Stay tuned for more updates as the summer progresses!

Greg Winchenbach and Crushstation are a hit on the 4-Wheel Jamboree Nationals tour! The team made its debut two weeks ago all the way out in Springfield, Missouri as the hunt for the 2011 Monster Truck Thunder Drags championship began.

As has been the case many times this year, Greg has a knack for turning heads and making Crushstation's presence known. On the long Chicago-style race course, Greg marched his way through the brackets, taking out Avenger and Lucas Oil Stabilizer to make it to the finals against Rammunition in the first show of the weekend. In an incredible race, Greg would lose by less than half a tire in a photo finish. As if that wasn't enough, Greg would go on to lay down a great freestyle in Crushstation, being overshadowed by only the current World Freestyle Champ Jim Koehler in Avenger.

The evening event on Saturday would see a round two exit for Crushstation in racing but Greg would once again do an incredible job in freestyle finishing just behind Avenger. Sunday would see the Lobstah looking racy again as Greg was just edged out in the semi-finals by Jim Koehler and Avenger. The final freestyle of the weekend was Greg's best yet as he launched all the big obstacles and even worked in several slap wheelies to complement the wild cyclones. He would once again be in the mix, with Team Scream just being that much better as Chris Bergeron hit the mud pit and Koehler rolled the Avenger.

From Springfield, the tour moved back towards home to Lima, Ohio. A special thanks to the guys with Hall Brothers Racing for allowing us to stop by the shop and work on the truck on the way to Lima.

The team arrived in Lima to find a muddy mess on Thursday and things were not much better by the time the first show rolled around on Friday. With little to no cleat on Crushstation's cut tires, all Greg could do was spin in racing but still managed a respectable effort in freestyle.

Saturday in Lima is always a grueling ordeal and as the track dried out, the race course was changed to the famous S-course. Greg got a tough draw, getting perennial series champ Mark Hall and Raminator in the first round. Hall would take the win, but Greg kept him honest with a solid effort. Freestyle was where Greg excelled, laying down a strong run that had the Lobstah near the top of the pack.

With the schedule of events running behind, the evening event was changed to freestyle only. Greg was on his game and laid down an incredible run in Crushstation, with wheelies, big air and the move of the weekend - a huge launch over the van stack that was combo'd into a massive slap wheelie that buried the tail into the ground, ripping off the flipper and the wheelie bar. The effort was only topped by Mr. Excitement himself, Jim Koehler in Avenger.

Sunday would wrap up the whirlwind tour as Greg would once again be unable to escape the first round despite a valiant effort. Determined to end the weekend on a strong note, Greg took Crushstation big in freestyle, duplicating his wild combo from the previous night and shutting it down only when something went awry in the front axle.

All in all, it has been an incredible debut for Greg Winchenbach and Crushstation on the 4-Wheel Jamboree Nationals tour. It is very gratifying for the team to have been invited to participate on this premiere circuit and the success we're enjoying is only icing on the cake.

Now the team gets the Memorial Day weekend off to prepare for the huge hometown Monster Jam at Speedway 95 in Bangor, Maine. We'll be doing a display for our incredible sponsor McLaughlin Seafood so be sure to watch our Facebook for more details on that. Stay tuned for results of the Bangor/Halifax swing and don't forget to stop by the Online Store to pickup one of our awesome new t-shirts by Jason Becker of BeefcakeDesign.com.

The Bottom Feeder Motorsports team has just finished out a fantastic two weeks running for our friends with AMP Live Events and Family Events. The final week of first quarter would be spent in Utica, New York for AMP. Greg would log incredible wheelie efforts both nights, but it was racing where the sparks would fly. Saturday night, Greg was racing Shell Camino and laid into the throttle, launching the cars and before he knew what happened, the Lobstah was sliding across the floor for Crushstation's second rollover of the year. Once again the truck held up great and Greg would go on to close the weekend with a wild freestyle to take the victory.

From Utica, it was on to University Park, Pennsylvania for our second Monster Nationals event of the season. The weekend could not have went better as Greg took it to series regulars Bigfoot, Lucas Oil Stabilizer, Star Marshal and Chalkboard Chuck. Crushstation would sweep wheelies, donuts and freestyle in both shows, with respectable efforts in both racing competitions as well.

That wraps up the indoor season for Bottom Feeder Motorsports as the team continues to improve in only its second year in existence. Who knows what 2012 may hold for the team, maybe we'll even get to try out our first stadium Monster Jam - who knows?

But before then comes the exciting spring and summer seasons including Crushstation's debut on the legendary 4-Wheel Jamboree Nationals circuit. The team will be running for the points championship against names like Bigfoot, Raminator, Avenger and many more - our next update we'll let you know how things went in Springfield and Lima!

After a couple of weeks to regroup following a tough conclusion to the month of February, the Bottom Feeder Motorsports team was ready to rock'n'roll for Monster Jam in Bridgeport, Connecticut. With a mean new Finish Line Racing Engine in the back of the Monstah Lobstah, Greg once again threw down the gauntlet to the competition to start the weekend, defeating big names Grave Digger and Air Force Afterburner to win the wheelie contest. Unfortunately problems in racing would cause the team to sit out for freestyle, but the truck was back and ready to tear it up on Saturday.

Once again, Greg stood Crushstation straight up and down and the wheelie contest to take another victory and would go to have a strong freestyle finishing behind only Digger and Air Force. Joey Parnell would break the wheelie contest win streak in the evening show, taking the win by just 1 point over Crushstation. Greg would log another solid third place showing in freestyle with just one event left on Sunday.

Greg would not be denied on Sunday in the wheelie contest, doing the "Lobstah Tail" wheelie twice and taking his third win of the weekend. Trouble would strike again during racing causing the team to miss freestyle, but all in all it was a strong weekend for Greg and the Monstah Lobstah.

The team now takes a week off before returning to the AMP Live Events tour in Utica, New York. Stay tuned for further updates as the season continues!

With only two previous Monster Jam events under our belt, the Bottom Feeder Motorsports team entered the New England sweep of Hartford and Worcester with a mix of excitement and apprehension. Running high profile events in front of our fellow New Englanders definitely put the pressure on to perform and with each weekend featuring several shows, there was no doubt that the tour would be tough on parts.

The tour couldn't have got off to a better start as Greg Winchenbach nailed down the wheelie contest victory to kick off the Hartford, Connecticut weekend. After a first round exit against Hot Tamale, Greg would go on to have a strong freestyle run, finishing second by only 1 point to Feld truck El Toro Loco driven by Marc MacDonald.

Later that evening would be the second show of the weekend and Greg was going hard after the wheelie contest win once again. After an incredible wheelie, the truck kicked sideways and would roll onto its lid! Both Greg and the Lobstah would be ok and would be back ready in time for racing. Greg marched through the brackets, first beating Hot Tamale and then Equalizer to make his way to the finals against Joe Miller in Monster Mutt. In a great race, it would be Miller taking the win. Freestyle would see Greg once again show the fans some great wheelies, nailing down a respectable score of 19.

Trouble would strike on Sunday as electrical gremlins held the team out of the wheelie contest and continued through racing. Greg finally found and corrected the problem during intermission and made it back out for freestyle. Taking out some frustration on the track, Greg laid down a great run that would once again be good enough for second behind Marc MacDonald and El Toro Loco.

From Hartford, it was on to Worcester which would be a very special event for the team, only 3 hours from home. The weekend started off with Greg once again making an impressive effort in the wheelie contest, finishing near the top of the pack. The hometown curse would be in effect however as Greg torpedo'd a transmission in the first round of racing and would be out for the rest of the night.

The afternoon event would go well as Greg and Crushstation turned in solid efforts in all three contests. The evening show started off great as Greg finished in a three way tie for first place and would win the cheeroff to take the victory! Unfortunately the highest of highs would turn to the lowest of lows as the motor would expire in the first round of racing, ending the weekend for the team.

Despite a tough finish to the two week Monster Jam New England tour, Greg and Crushstation showed they can hang with the best the series has to offer. Now it's back home to change out the motor and prepare for the next Monster Jam event in Bridgeport in two weeks. Stay tuned for more news!

The Bottom Feeder Motor Sports continued west following the Washington, D.C. Monster Jam weekend, stopping at the shops of our good friends Mike Vaters and Dan Patrick along the way to work on the truck and get ready for our first ever Monster Nationals event in Champaign, Illinois. Greg and the team would like to send a big thanks to both Mike and Dan for their hospitality in accommodating us during the week.

The team arrived in Champaign late Thursday night and got their first look at the U of I Assembly Hall on Friday, confirming everything we had heard about the venue – this place is small! Known as one of the tightest spaces monster truck run in, the Assembly Hall has played host to some wild monster truck action over the years. With having to take on defending Monster Nationals Racing Champion Rick Long in Bigfoot and the hometown heroes Mark Hall in Raminator and Mat Dishman in Rammunition, the team had their work cut out for them.

Greg and Crushstation were up to the task, starting off the night with an absolutely perfect, straight up and down wheelie, getting the win in our first ever Monster Nationals competition! The team got a tough draw in racing, having to take on the champ Rick Long in Bigfoot in the first round. Making it even tougher was the fact that there proved to be a good lane and a bad lane in racing and Greg got the bad lane. Sure enough, the cars sent the lobstah straight up while Long was able to stay low and take the victory. Greg was able to get lane choice in the third place race however and took down the high powered Hemi of Rammunition.

Keeping up a good pace in freestyle proved tough in the tight confines, so Greg took the approach of making every hit count. He laid down an incredible freestyle that saw several huge “lobstah tail” wheelies, one spiking into and nearly past the last car in the set. When freestyle was finished, there was little doubt Greg had pulled off the best moves of the night, but in the end the hometown boy Mark Hall in Raminator took home the win based on a high powered run with great momentum.

We had a great time with our first ever Monster Nationals event and we are greatly looking forward to continuing to work with the fine folks at Family Events in Pennsylvania in April and on the 4-Wheel Jamboree tour later this year. Thanks to all the fans who came out and saw us and to Jason Twite of Monster Mayhem for the great photos which are now available on our
Photos page.

Our inaugural Monster Jam season continues next week as we take on the competition at Hartford, Connecticut’s XL Center. We look forward to seeing all of our fellow New Englanders the next two weeks in Hartford and in Worcester. Don't forget to visit our sponsor www.McLaughlinSeafood.com and have some fresh live "Crushstation" Maine Lobsters shipped to your house for the feast of a lifetime!

Crushstation is officially a Monster Jam competitor! The team rolled into Albany, New York two weeks ago, starting off the big weekend by displaying for series sponsor Advance Auto Parts. We had a great time hanging out with all the fine folks at AAP and seeing all the fans that came by to see us. Next thing you know, the big night was upon us and it was time for the Monster Jam fans to be introduced to the Monstah Lobstah. Greg Winchenbach wasted no time in showing them what the team is all about as, in his very first ever Monster Jam competition, he spiked the truck into the cars in a picture perfect “lobstah tail” wheelie and tied with Carl Van Horn in Grave Digger for the best score. The best part about it? The Monster Jam secret tiebreaking judge awarded the win to Crushstation! A win in the team’s first ever Monster Jam event!

Next up would be racing and after a first round loss to Full Boar, Greg rebounded quickly as the fast loser, knocking off Nicole Johnson in Tasmanian Devil in the semi-finals and meeting up with Digger once again for another win. Van Horn would prevail this time, but we made him work for it. Van Horn would have to work for it again in freestyle as Greg laid down an awesome run with plenty of big wheelies for a score of 24. Van Horn had a strong run in Digger and was just able to edge us out, scoring a 25 from the judges and taking the win.

After having performed so well on Friday night, the team looked to build on that performance on Saturday and try to find victory lane once again. Greg started out with an absolutely massive wheelie contest effort, another picture perfect “lobstah tail” wheelie into the last car of the set for a score of 28. Van Horn had no choice but to put it all on the line to win, and proceeded to spike the top of the rear of the chassis into the last car to edge Crushstation out with a score of 29. Racing would see a round one exit to eventual final round competitor Nicole Johnson in Tasmanian Devil, but Greg would once again excel in freestyle coming up just short to Van Horn and Digger.

All in all, we couldn’t be happier with our first weekend in Monster Jam, taking a win and finishing runner-up to Grave Digger in the majority of the competitions. From there it was on to Washington, D.C. for our first dirt Monster Jam and having to take on the son of the Icon himself, Adam Anderson in the awesome new Grave Digger The Legend truck.

We were once again asked to take part in an Advance Auto Parts display on Thursday and had a great time meeting the fans and telling people about the show. Greg sure knows how to start off a weekend as he pulled off another massive "lobstah tail" wheelie, taking the lead and staying in the hot seat until Adam Anderson launched Grave Digger The Legend and took the win.

That would be the story much of the weekend as Greg continued to run great but couldn't stop Adam Anderson. Anderson would go on to sweep the entire weekend with Crushstation right behind him in the majority of the competitions. All in all, it was another successful weekend on the Monster Jam tour and we are very thankful to Keith Speller and all the folks with Feld for the opportunity. We are very excited as we still have three more Monster Jam events on the schedule here in first quarter, all of them up in New England!

Next up the team heads straight from Washington, D.C. to Champaign, Illinois for our first event Monster Nationals event for the great folks at Family Events. This is the farthest west we've been so far, so all you Midwesterners, come on out and see Maine's Monstah Lobstah!

The new year is here and the Bottom Feeder Motor Sports team has had a great first two weeks to kick off 2011! We started out the first weekend of the year with Danny Torgerson’s Monster X Tour event at the US Bank Arena in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio. The tight arena would see some great action as Greg and Crushstation had to take on Ben Winslow and Bounty Hunter in a weekend that also saw Larry Quick and Ghost Ryder performing the backflip. Greg had a great wheelie on Friday that nearly saw the truck tip over in its first hit of the year, but Greg gathered it up. Greg was impressive in freestyle as well with some big moves and a great donut. The crowd sided with Bounty Hunter in both competitions however and it was on to Saturday.

Greg didn’t waste any time going big on Saturday, walking a wheelie off the cars – this time the crowd would be on the side of the Monstah Lobstah and Greg took the win. In freestyle, Greg kept up great momentum and even launched off the center FMX hill, catching some massive air inside the small arena. After finishing the run with another wild donut, the team waited to see what Bounty Hunter could do. A broken fuel line would cut Winslow’s run short and the crowd left no doubt as to who the winner should be as Greg swept night two in Cincy. A big thanks to Danny T, Roller and the whole Monster X crew for a great show – we’ll see them again at the end of February in Asheville, North Carolina.

From Cincinnati, it was back up to Buffalo for our first ever AMP Monster Truck Thunder Slam event. Thanks to Travis Petri and the Toxic team, we were able to leave the hauler in New York and head back up to Maine for a few days before the event. The event would see Greg taking on six other trucks in one of AMP’s bigger shows of the year. Competitors included Rick Long in Bigfoot, Ghost Ryder, Predator, Prowler, Toxic and Viper.

Greg once again started the weekend off strong, winning the wheelie contest in decisive fashion. A broken blower belt would cause the team to miss racing, but they got Crushstation back in time for freestyle where Greg laid down a great run with huge wheelies and a dirt slingin’ donut. Despite the great run, the win was given to Rick Long in Bigfoot.

Saturday night would see another great wheelie effort, but this time Larry Quick in Ghost Ryder was able to walk a wheelie across the cars and edge Greg out for the win. The team would then compete in our very first racing event of the year, marching all the way to the finals and knocking off Rick Long and Bigfoot for the big win. Freestyle would go much like the wheelie contest as Greg was able to get in another strong run but was edged out by a wild performance and rollover by Ghost Ryder.

A big thanks to Scott Hart and AMP Live Events for inviting us out to Buffalo, we look forward to working with them again later this year in Jonesboro, Arkansas and in Utica, New York.

Check out the
Photos section for some great pictures from Cincinnati courtesy of our friends at TheMonsterBlog.com and see the Event Schedule to find out where we’re headed next. We are very excited about the upcoming weeks as we will be embarking on our first two weekends of Monster Jam competition! Look out Grave Digger, the Monstah Lobstah is coming! Stay tuned for results and become a fan of ours on Facebook for constant updates from the team!

The Bottom Feeder Motorsports is very excited to unveil our 2011 Event Schedule!  Driver Greg Winchenbach and the Crushstation "Monstah Lobstah" had an impressive debut season in 2010, finishing with an impressive 14 racing and freestyle victories and countless wheelie contest wins as Greg dominated the competition with his patented "lobster tail" wheelies.

The team has been improving by leaps and bounds and the announcement of our 2011 Event Schedule continues that trend as Greg and Crushstation have been invited to run on the premiere tour in monster trucks this winter, the Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam series. Additionally, we are also proud to announce that Crushstation has received an invite to compete for the 2011 Monster Truck Thunder Drags championship on the prestigious 4 Wheel Jamboree Nationals tour. On top of those two big headlines, we are also very excited to run on the AMP Monster Truck Thunder Slam tour for the first time and to return to our good friend Danny Torgerson's Monster X Tour.

Greg and new crew chief David Pugh are hard at work at the Mountain Road Repair home of Crushstation, getting the truck ready for the new year with lots of upgrades. We'd like to wish all our fans and supporters a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Now click over and check out the Event Schedule and find out where you can see the Monstah Lobstah in 2011!

The Bottom Feeder Motorsports team has wrapped up the 2010 season after a wild run of events to finish out September/October. Picking up from our last update, Crushstation and driver Greg Winchenbach were invited by FMG Events to participate in the annual Rochester Fair event just across the border in New Hampshire. The team would have veteran driver John Killenger on standby as the Greg was eagerly awaiting the welcoming of a new member to the family - a baby boy. After a great night that saw wins in the wheelie contest, a finals in racing and a big freestyle win, Greg got the call on Saturday and rushed home in time for the birth of Nathan Gregory Winchenbach. John Killenger filled in for the Saturday and Sunday events, doing a great job for his first time behind the wheel of the lobstah. With Killenger having to head home for work, Greg returned to the track for the Monday event. Greg picked up right where he left off on Friday, with a great freestyle run and a big racing victory. A big thanks to Brian Sharenow and the FMG Events crew for having us, we're looking forward to next year already.

Following the big weekend in Rochester would be a short week at the shop preparing to return to Vermonster for the huge Trucks Gone Wild event. Crushstation would be featured in a couple cool segments filmed for an upcoming Trucks Gone Wild DVD, and the truck ran great all weekend. Trouble would strike in the final run however as Greg finished up with a rough running motor only to later discover a thrown rod in the motor.

This development was made even worse by the fact that the motor that blew was the spare motor. With two blown motors and no replacement available on short notice, the team was forced to cancel out of the big Thunder on the Beach event in Wildwood, New Jersey. That was one of the events we had been looking forward to most, so having to cancel was very disappointing. Thanks to our good friend Mike Vaters in Black Stallion for stepping up and doing a great job filling in for us on the beach.

After a week off spent getting one of the motors in top shape, it was back on the road to finish up the last two weekends of the year in Canada. First up would be the North Atlantic Monster Nationals Championship event at the Centre for Speed in Shediac, New Brunswick. Greg took on a great lineup including Jon Zimmer driving both Amsoil Shock Therapy and Excaliber, along with Mike Vaters in Black Stallion and Trey Meyers in Iron Warrior. It was a rainy afternoon event and Greg showed what the lobstah can do in the mud, winning the wheelie contest, going to the finals of racing and tieing Zimmer for the freestyle win. A big thanks to Tim Wile and the CFS gang for a great event.

Earlier this year we participated in our very first stadium event at Olympic Stadium for Chris Arel Motorsports - the team ran strong and the fans loved Crushstation so much that we were invited back for the big fall event in Montreal. As part of a huge 14 truck lineup featuring some of the biggest names in the sport, Greg was ready to make people take notice of the lobstah. The event started off with a wheelie contest, that saw Crushstation stand straight up and down in a great effort that was easily in the top five but a huge vertical wheelstand by Jay Snyder in Illuminator would take the win. Greg was excited for the race course which featured racing over buses on a huge Figure 8 style course, but trouble struck on the line in the first round. As the trucks went to launch at the green light, an input shaft snapped ending the night for the Bottom Feeder team. An incredibly disappointing way to be put out of a big show and a tough break to end the season.

Although the end to the year wasn't quite storybook, it was an incredible first year for Greg and Crushstation. After running only part time in the mid-90's, 2010 was Greg's rookie season and the numbers show what a great year it was - 15 wheelie contest wins, 7 racing victories and 7.5 freestyle wins. The combined 14.5 racing and freestyle wins were the most of any rookie in 2010.

The team couldn't have come as far as it has in the first year without the help of some great people, so a big thanks to our sponsor McLaughlin Seafood and everyone who has helped along the way. Now the work begins tearing down the truck and getting it ready for 2011 - demand for the truck has been great and we only have a few dates left open for 1st quarter. Just wait until you see where the "monstah lobstah" is headed in 2011 - stay tuned for announcement of the schedule!

The Bottom Feeder Motorsports got to enjoy a fun weekend close to home as we headed over to Embden, Maine for the New England Mud Run of Champions Saturday and Sunday. Crushstation would be the only monster truck on hand so we were able to do some fun stuff including sand dragging, long jumping and even running the mud pit. Saturday we competed in several sand drag races and then did a long jump reaching around 60-70 feet. Greg even threw in a little donut after his jump to the crowd’s delight. Sunday would be even more fun as we once again did some sand drags, finishing with 7 wins and only 1 loss for the weekend against much lighter weight trucks. Then in the long jump, Greg really aired out the lobstah, clearing the 90 foot mark! To finish off the weekend, Greg took Crushstation through the mud pit for the very first time. While it was fun ride, a quick assessment of the long cleaning job ahead has pretty much led to the decision that Sunday will probably be the last mud run for the lobstah. After a long run, we’ve finally got a couple weeks off to work on the truck and then we compete against BIGFOOT and others in the annual Rochester, NH fair event. Stay tuned for more updates!

The month of August is in the books for the Bottom Feeder team and it was a busy one! Our first weekend out this month saw Greg and Crushstation taking on what may very well be the toughest competition the team has seen thus far as we were invited to take part in the Essex Junction, Vermont Monster Truck Thunder Drags. Greg would be taking on Monster Jam trucks Grave Digger with Randy Brown and El Toro Loco along with the high-powered Hall Brothers Racing machines Raminator and Rammunition in three big shows. The weekend started out great as Greg laid down a great freestyle in the first show, with many fans expressing the opinion that they thought Crushstation should have been the winner over Digger. Other highlights of the weekend included a semi-final round appearance on Sunday and another great runner-up in the donut contest. A big thanks to everyone with Family Events for having us out at the event, we really hope to work together again in the future.

The next two weeks saw the team lucky enough to participate in some great home state events. First we spent the weekend just down the road from home in Bristol, Maine for the annual Old Bristol Days celebration. Crushstation was pulled along in the big parade and we spent the day on display interacting with all the fans. We had a great time and really want to thank everyone with the community of Bristol for having us.

From there it was on to Houlton, Maine for the big All Cylinders Saturday event, a celebration of Maine motorsports. Greg performed several freestyle exhibitions during the day with the highlight being a huge slap wheelie that Greg managed to ride for an impressive length. All the attendees loved Crushstation and it was once again great to introduce more of our fellow Mainahs to the monstah lobstah.

This past weekend was a wild one as we traveled to Canada for the second time this year to perform in three shows in three cities in three days for Chris Arel Motorsports. Friday we started off at the Daveluyville, Quebec Devil City Speedway where Greg dominated the competition, with Crushstation sweeping all three events. The next day it was off to Quebec City’s Riverside City Speedway as Mike Vaters’ 2 trucks joined the 5 from the previous night to make a great 7 truck field. Greg continued his wheelie contest domination in 2010 picking up the win and driving his way to the final round against the veteran Vaters. While navigating the tough race course, Crushstation kicked up onto two wheels, going all the way over on the sidewalls before Greg managed to make a wicked save to bring it back to all fours. The save would come at the cost of a steering ram though, sitting the team out for freestyle. Sunday would bring an end to the whirlwind weekend as Greg completed the sweep of wheelie contests. Vaters would once again take the racing victory, but with lobstah good to go for freestyle, Greg pulled off some huge moves on his way to the win. All in all it was a very successful weekend as the team is really hitting its stride to end the summer.

Thanks to everyone who we’ve run with this month, we’ve had a lot of fun and we’re already looking forward to a great September. Stay tuned right here for all the latest news!

Greg Winchenbach and Crushstation finished up the month of July with two straight weekends of head to head competition with Maine’s other monster truck, Kyle Chandler’s Dominator. The two first battled in the Maine Monster Truck Championship event at Wiscasset Speedway just down the road from Monstah Lobstah HQ. With tons of family and friends on hand, Greg swept all three competitions in Crushstation!

The two trucks met once again this past weekend at Groveton, New Hampshire’s Riverside Speedway. A night filled with great stock car racing and some wild monster truck exhibition saw the lobstah once again come out on top as Greg thrilled the fans with more big moves in Crushstation.

A big thanks to everyone with Wiscasset and Riverside Speedways and to our good buddy Kyle Chandler for a great couple weeks. This coming weekend the team takes on some of our toughest competition yet as Crushstation will go head to head with the likes of Grave Digger, Raminator, El Toro Loco and Rammunition! Check out www.FamilyEvents.com for all the info on the big show in Essex Junction, we’ll see you there!!

What an incredible last two weeks it has been for the Bottom Feeder Motorsports team! Shortly after arriving home from Thompson, we were joined at the Monster Lobstah HQ by the Eradicator/Backdraft team, the War Eagle team, the Razin Kane team and the Screamin Demon team in preparation for the first ever Monster Truck Mayhem event at Spud Speedway in Caribou, Maine. All of these great friends arrived on Wednesday in just enough time for us to take them all out on the boat for some authentic Maine lobster fishing. We hauled in a total of 132 pounds of live lobster and brought a bunch back to the shop for a big lobster feed. A big thanks to our good buddy CJ Polland for taking us out on the boat on his day off and showing us a great time.

With the fun out of the way, it was on up to Caribou for the big event. This would be the first time a lot of our friends and family would have the chance to see Greg and Crushstation perform and it was a tough field of competition. Friday night started off great as Greg showed the lobstah’s wheelie prowess, taking a big win in front of the home state crowd. Racing would be tough on a long straight line course but Greg managed to make his way to the finals against the always tough Dave Waple in Screamin Demon. In a close race, Greg managed to eek out a win at the expense of heavy breakage which would keep him out of freestyle. But in a very emotional winner’s interview, Greg had already had a great night going 2 for 2 in front of all his family.

Saturday the crew thrashed on the truck and got it back together in time for the event. After another wheelie contest victory, Greg made his way back to the finals, this time against good friend Mike Barnes in War Eagle. In another photo finish, it was Barnes squeezing out the win in a great race. Freestyle would see problems for the lobstah as Greg immediately realized something had gone away in the truck, but continued to push until it just wouldn’t run anymore. With steam billowing from the engine, the truck resembled a cooked lobster right out of the pot to the amusement of the Caribou fans.

From Caribou, it was on to another New England event as we were invited to participate in the first ever All Star Monster Truck Tour event in Rutland, Vermont. For Greg, it would be a return to one of the first venues he ever competed in back in the 90’s when he ran a few shows for Calvin Carrington. Friday night started off great as Greg and Crushstation pulled off yet another wheelie contest victory. After a semi-final round exit in racing, Greg proceeded to put forth a great freestyle run that saw the lobstah catch some huge air. It wouldn’t be quite enough to top Jeremy Slifko in Backdraft, but it was a solid night that saw Greg get second in the unique “King of the Hill” overall contest.

Saturday night, the Bottom Feeder team turned up the heat on the competition. After an absolutely jaw-dropping wheelie only got second place, Greg sought out to dominate the rest of the night. He took Crushstation to the finals in Chicago-style racing and knocked out Mike Barnes in War Eagle for the big win. Then in freestyle, Greg caught huge air, threw the truck into some great donuts and even made a nice save to get the perfect 30 score from the judges. No else would be to equal the lobstah and it would be a freestyle victory and an overall “King of the Hill” win to cap off a great couple weeks for the team.

A big thanks to Troy Haney with Spud Speedway and Bryan Wagner with All Star Monster Truck Tour for having us as a part of their events the last couple weeks, we’re looking forward to a great finish to the month of July, stay tuned for more updates!

After a nice month of June off spent upgrading Crushstation with all-new Patrick Enterprises axle housings, the Bottom Feeder Motorsports team returned to action this past Saturday for the first ever Monster Thrash Fest at Thompson Speedway in Connecticut.  Greg Winchenbach would face off against a lineup of heavy hitters including Mike Vaters in Black Stallion and David Smith in King Krunch, along with El Matador, Iron Warrior, Storm Damage, Hurricane Force and Killer Bee. The evening started off great as Crushstation picked up a big win in the wheelie competition with one of his trademark "lobster tail" wheelies, planting the truck straight up and down.  The team would receive a tough draw for the first round of racing, as Greg would take on David Smith in King Krunch. In an incredibly close race, easily the closest of the night, the call went to King Krunch and the Bottom Feeder team readied for freestyle.  When the time came, Greg roared out to the track and started off great, but a 50 cent part malfunction caused the truck to keep shutting off, hampering the overall performance.  We'd like to send a big thanks to Mike Vaters for inviting us out to participate in the event and to everyone with Thompson Speedway for their hospitality.  Check out the video below for highlights from the event, and watch for continuing updates here and on our Facebook page as we prepare for a busy July here in the Northeast!

Video from our weekend in Virginia Beach for Monsters on the Beach is now online!  Thanks to our friends at TheMonsterBlog.com for the great footage!

After a couple weeks off for repairs and maintenance, the Bottom Feeder Motorsports headed back south this past weekend for the Checkered Flag Productions Spring/Summer kickoff event at Fayetteville Motor Speedway in North Carolina. Despite running a limited schedule and not participating in the championship event, Greg Winchenbach and Crushstation still finished 8th in overall winter points and were looking forward to a return to their winning ways to start off the summer.

The action would kickoff Friday night as Greg and lobstah would take on competition including Rodney Tweedy in Bigfoot, War Eagle, Razin Kane and Screamin Demon. The first event would be the wheelie contest and Greg wasted no time pulling off the “lobster tail”, spiking the rear of the truck into the takeoff ramp past the three car set! Mike Barnes would just edge the great effort from Crushstation after rolling War Eagle over backwards.

Racing would see Screamin Demon just edge out Crushstation in a very close finish, but Greg was ready to make up for the early racing exit in freestyle. He immediately set out to go big, with move after move building to a wild finale when the truck kicked sideways, all the way onto the sidewalls and Greg hammered on the gas bringing it back down to all fours. The impact would pop both left tires off the bead, but the save was made and the crowd went wild. The effort would once again be overshadowed by a strong War Eagle run and rollover, but it was a great first night in Fayetteville for the team.

Saturday night would be another story unfortunately, as problems reared their ugly head right off the bat. In the wheelie contest, Greg once again laid into the throttle looking for a “lobster tail” when the truck immediately kicked to the right, landing hard on the rear tire and blowing it off the bead once again. The problem was diagnosed as a broken axle and it would be terminal on this occasion, as all the spares had been eaten up in the long Virginia Beach weekend.

A thanks to CFP and the folks with Fayetteville Motor Speedway for having us, we look forward to returning to the tour on July 4th weekend in Beckley, West Virginia. That will also be the next show for the team as they head back up to the shop, where new Patrick housings will be installed along with other upgrades before the next competition on the schedule. Check out our photo page for great photos from the awesome John Roberts, big thanks to him for those and the ones above. Stay tuned for more updates!!

The Bottom Feeder Motorsports team has returned home from a tough weekend in Virginia Beach, Virginia after getting the great opportunity to be a part of the annual Monsters on the Beach event. First off, a huge thanks to Beach Events and George Carpenter for inviting us to be a part of their event this year. Crushstation was a huge hit with the fans and all weekend people couldn't stop talking about how fitting it was for a giant lobster truck to be a part of a show held on the beach.

Monsters on the Beach would be the first event where Crushstation would be sporting its awesome new McLaughlin Seafood "rubber bands" on the claws. We are so proud to have McLaughlin on board, please be sure to check them out at www.McLaughlinSeafood.com.

The event would also be the first time that Greg Winchenbach and the "monstah lobstah" would have the chance to take on the legendary Grave Digger, with Randy Brown behind the wheel.  We would also get to race big names like Stone Crusher, Gun Slinger and Virginia Giant for the first time as well.

The action started off great on Friday night as Crushstation participated in an awesome intro skit, hiding behind Megasaurus way down by the water and charging out to the theme from "Jaws". The crowd loved it and the team was ready to go racing.

After a conservative qualifying pass to feel out the track, Greg would face off against Steve Sims in Stone Crusher in the first round. Crushstation would get the jump off the line, but Sims pulled ahead in no man's land. The trucks hit the jump close and the finish would go to Stone Crusher by about a half truck length. Trouble would strike in a big way in freestyle however, as after only a couple of hits, Greg did a huge sky wheelie over the van stack, landing hard on the rear end splitting the axle housing in two.

Work began feverishly to figure out a way to try and weld the severly damaged housing back together to make it through the weekend. With the help of Kalbones Off-Road and Production Off-Road, the housing was back together Saturday afternoon just in time to take part in the evening competition. Unfortunately more trouble would strike during the intro skit as breakage would once again strike, sending the crew back to the pits to prepare for Sunday.

Greg and expert crew chief "Fish" went to work Sunday morning, welding and welding on the housing, giving it every bit of strength they could for the final show of the weekend. The truck would run solid in racing with a respectable qualifying pass and good effort in a loss to Chris Baker in Mopar Magic.

Freestyle is where Crushstation has shined all year, and after a long, tough weekend of breakage, Greg was ready to show the Virginia Beach fans what the lobstah can do. Greg started out with a strong wheelie on the van stack, then came around to the front side and planted the tail in the cars. Back around to the van stack, Greg hammered on it sending Crushstation perfectly vertical, pogo-ing the tail in the sand and breaking a rear steering line. Officials activated the RII ending the run, but the fans were going wild after some big moves by Crushstation.

A big thanks once again to George Carpenter, Mike West and Beach Events for inviting us out this year. We only got to show a little bit of the high standard we've been running at this year, but we'll be ready to return in the future and really show them what Crushstation is all about. Stay tuned for more updates as Fayetteville, NC is our next event!

This past weekend saw Crushstation heading north of the border for the first time as we were invited to be a part of the Montreal Monster Spectacular!  HUGE competition as Greg Winchenbach would have to meet Jimmy Creten, Jim Koehler, Chris Bergeron, and Rick Long on one of the biggest stadium floors in all of monster trucks. The event would kick off with a long jump contest that would see a solid effort from the lobstah. Then it was on to Chicago-style racing where Greg would impress, marching all the way to the semi-finals before falling to Joe Miller in Scarlet Bandit. Freestyle would easily feature the biggest obstacles Crushstation had ever encountered. After some solid wheelies a rear steering issue would crop up, leaving the only option to throw it in to a donut. Greg would do exactly that, spinning the truck like a top in a wild cyclone to the delight of the 45,000+ fans in attendance. Check out our Photos section for some great pictures courtesy of Steve Parry and check out below for some video highlights from the event. Big thanks to Chris Arel for giving us a shot, we look forward to returning to Montreal in the future!
